Saheliyon ki Bari is also known as the 'Garden for the Maids' and was dedicated to the 48 maids who used to serve the royal Queen. Here they would come and relax after the long tiring day. They would indulge in chatting and have great fun in the garden. The garden is located on the banks of the romantic Fateh Sagar Lake.
Built under the supervision of Maharana Sangram Singh II Saheliyon ki Bari houses several fountains set in and around the pools. The fascinating elephants and lions carved out in marble serving the purpose of fountain create the royal picture of the bygone era. One of the pools is named as the Lotus Pool which is very beautiful. Sit around the pool and enjoy a pleasant evening at the garden.
Saheliyon ki Bari also houses a room for sitting which has been decorated with enchanting paintings and glass mosaics. Walk into the pavilion of 'rain fountain' and imagine the maids dancing in the rain. When the fountains are played in this pavilion it gives the illusion of rain. The museum in the garden displays the royal objects of the house of the Maharaja who built it.
